Five folks, led by Linda Frost (and the dog), decided to hike rather than ski on Sunday, January 5. They hiked to Badlands Rock on a sunny day warm enough to shed gloves and hats. Hard to believe the weather around them could be so different than the weather on the mountain. They could see the snow clouds boiling around Mt Bachelor, and also dark, threatening clouds to the south. Thinking of the CONC groups that had braved the clouds and snow to go to the mountain, they were all glad they had chosen the dry, sunny option!
