Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day is an old animated film where a wind storm hits the hundred acre wood. Of course it makes a mess of things that Pooh and his friends put right in the end. The hike Sunday, June 29 led by Jerry, from Pine Mt. observatory to Pine Mountain had some similarities to the adventures of Pooh. The winds were very blustery with high gusts that made one hang on to their hat and the ground at the same time. However, everything turned out fine in the end. The hike is short (@4 miles) but there is much elevation gain and loss making it a good work out for the day. The group had a great deal of camaraderie and a good time was had by all. Overall it was a nice wander through our own hundred acre wood.
