Mid-morning hikers visited either Clear Lake or meandered along the Deschutes River on Sunday, Oct. 7.
“Clear Lake, although just past its prime, was still spectacular,” says group leader Linda Frost. “No rain on our parade as 16 people wandered around the lake, followed by cookies and cupcakes near the resort. Those who had never been there were suitably impressed, and for some it was worth being the second time in the last couple of weeks.”

Meanwhile, hiker Sharon Evoy reports that those who hiked by the Deschutes River came across “evidence of a busy beaver.” (Photos below by Sharon Evoy)
