Linda Frost lead a group down the McKenzie River Trail from Clear Lake to Carmen Reservoir on Sunday June 14. Out and back, the hike is about 4 miles of waterfalls, and mossy lava flows. Lots of dogwood and other flowers were encountered; and yes, a moment of drizzle or two and some muddy trails. But the McKenzie River loop around the waterfalls was great. Even better if someone can explain the strange rainbow-like, alien effect that happened up above the clouds.
