The group hike John Sweat was leading up to Crescent Mt. had no takers, so he went solo. It started as a rather balmy ascend to the summit with no issues with mosquitos surprisingly, thank goodness. The wild flowers were still present and maybe a tad early for the Bear Grass to be in full bloom. The view at the summit was outstanding: Mt. Adams (or Mt St Helen) to the north and Diamond Peak to the south were visible. On the descent a westerly breeze had developed which made for a pleasant return. Overall it was a very nice experience.
