On Sunday, December 29, there were a couple of outings. Jerry (and Perry) skied up Flagline Access to where it intersects with Flagline. They located the You Are Here map for the top of Pete’s Way and went on to ski about a half mile of Flagline. On the way back they picked up the sign, went to Pete’s Way, placed it, and dropped down Pete’s to the Water Tower and out. Snow conditions were a lot better than expected; a dusting of new snow probably helped.
Lower down the mountain, Dennis Krakow led three others through the open spaces of Wanoga. They reported “soft” snow, and had broken views of Tumalo Mountain, the Thumb, and Broken Top.
