Five CONC hikers had a delightful, blue-sky autumn at Newberry Caldera on Sunday, Oct. 21.
“We began by skirting the Big Obsidian Flow on our way upwards to the rim,” says group leader Roz O’Donoghue. “Next, a rim walk with plenty of views of the Cascade mountains, Paulina and East lakes as well as the surrounding scenery.
“We finished with a traverse up, over and down the slopes of Paulina Peak. What a day!”
