Jerry Sebestyen Leads Hikers Up Horse Ridge

Sunday, October 10th, was a beautiful Central Oregon fall day.  Temperatures were pleasant with broken and scattered cloud cover above and a brisk wind along the way as CONC president Jerry Sebestyen led a group of hikers up Horse Ridge.

Despite a total distance of something over 8 miles, Jerry described the hike an easy, gradual out and back along Horse Ridge.  “We spotted some raptors in the sky,” Jerry reported, “with deer track along the trail and bear scat.”  Hikers Sharon and Doris looked for bear tracks and found some.  All in all, It was a day of good hiking, conversation, and cheer.
