No one can deny that the weather was “interesting” when five CONC members ventured out into the mists for a hike on September 29th. Led by Kelly Cleman and Roz O’Donoghue, they walked into the clouds and misting rain to the Berley lakes; two lovely off trail lakes. The weather lent a quiet and moody ambience to the surroundings. The nearby mountains and ridges were embraced by clouds. Fall colors were on display with water droplets shimmering on trees and ground cover. All remained in good spirits on a day many ” dry side” Oregonians would stay home. Maybe an alternate title for this hike could have been “Berrr…ley Lakes”?
