Seven skiers joined Laura Seaver, Eric Ness, and Gary Elnan for a beginner friendly, off-trail ski at the Wanoga Sno Park. The conditions were perfect, with blue skies, no wind, and a couple of inches of new snow for our enjoyment. Several of the group were new to off-trail skiing, so we spent some time talking about and investigating hazards like tree wells. Navigation was a constant topic, as it is easier to stay found than get unlost. The views of various buttes and peaks made keeping our orientation much easier. The lovely weather even allowed for a lunch break at the far end of our lollipop loop. The skiing was simply lovely, and there were smiles all around.
