On Monday, June 1, Linda Frost led a small group on a lovely hike along a rushing creek to tranquil Pamelia Lake (off Highway 22, near Mt. Jefferson). The trilliums were blooming in the forest moss carpet, and the rhododendrons were budding abundantly. There were quite a few downed trees across the trail, but they were easy to go over/around. Access to the trail is by permit from the Detroit Ranger Station, so it was a peaceful hike (and a perfect day)!
