Paulina Lodge Moonlight Ski

Trish Nelson spontaneously made dinner reservations at the Paulina Lodge for January 10; the night of the full moon.  So five CONC members skied out of the Ten Mile sno park that afternoon.  The intent was to ski back in the light of the full moon; but it was rather blustery and snowy for that.  Undaunted, they skied up the Ponderosa Rim trail in the daylight, to the Falls, and then to the lodge where they had dinner.  They all donned headlamps, and skied, or “slid back down” the Rim trail by artificial “moon” light in a magical tunnel of illumination.  Incredibly, they actually did see the full moon when driving back towards highway 97!
