Six CONC hikers elected to hike the ridge on Pine Mountain where there is no trail on Sunday, July 21. Everyone’s fingers were crossed that there would be no mosquitos, but a cooling breeze. Basically, their hopes were fulfilled and even though it was warm it was a good hike. Interestingly, there was a bit of haze in all directions which might affect the weekend public viewing at the Pine Mountain Observatory. However, as seen in the photos, they still made it to Neptune! But I think they left the bird behind.
