Dennis led a hike on Sunday, March 22 from the Rickard Road trailhead which is at the northern edge of the Horse Ridge area just off Highway 20. He and one other hiked about 3 hours on (and off) the barely visible trails, commenting that probably only Eileen had hiked there before. In fact, most GPS apps don’t show the trails; only the BLM map has them. They hiked about 3 hours in the sunny warmth with no one else on the trails, wondering how this could be so close to the city and have so few users. Their views were almost 360 degrees, extending from the Cascades to the Ochocos.
