Linda Frost made an excellent call for a short hike along the Deschutes River on Sunday, September 22, due to the forecast for rain. The drizzle started when the group reached the turn around point at Benham Falls, but everyone was prepared with rain jackets. The foliage was just starting to get a twinge of fall, even though this year the fall equinox landed on the next day, Monday the 23rd. Everyone enjoyed the chance to get out and hike a bit with the club, as the afternoon was spotted with showers and more conducive to staying indoors!
