As you can see it was a excellent bluebird day up at Dutchman Flat. There were seven of us all together. Some were regulars on the Sunday skis but we had new folks to Central Oregon and CONC. We met at Thump Coffee in NW Crossing for conversation, organization and car pooling. It was a busy day at the West Village Nordic Center but once we got through the corridor we had the place to ourselves. We headed for Dutchman Loop and took a leisurely ski stopping at the north end of the Flat for some downhill practice and play. Later at a snack break we measured the snow depth at almost six feet with four inches of unconsolidated on top. Just perfect snow conditions. All in all it was a great day with ideal weather, good snow and making new friends.
