Linda Frost led five hikers about five miles around the side of Gray Butte from The Orchard and back on Sunday, May 24. All the mountains including Mt Adams were on display. Lots of blue camas, and white camas, paintbrush in several shades, and the lupin just starting. The trail was not crowded and the road to the Orchard had been graded to a much better condition than previous. Such a nice day to get back into the hiking season.
