Swampy Snowshoe Maintenance

“Sunny skies, snow, and 8 smiling volunteers – a great combination to check the entire Porcupine Snowshoe trail at Swampy Lakes” said Bob Timmer on Monday, December 16.  Trimming was done for assurance marker visibility and 15 replacement assurance markers were installed. There are still a couple of areas on the northern loop that need additional marker work as do crossings of snowshoe and ski trails (photo of confusing marker collection). But the trail was in great shape with only 3 blowdown needed to be cut; thanks again to the pre-season work by Al, Gary, Bill, Doug, and others.  In short, the trails north of Century drive (Todd Lake, Meissner, and Swampy) are all now in good condition.
