Dennis Krakow and Roz O’Donoghue led seven CONC members on a ski to Tumalo Falls on a magical day this past Wednesday, January 15. The club hadn’t ventured there as a group in recent memory, perhaps due to the relatively low elevation & unpredictable snowpack (4700 ft) of the Skyliner snopark just outside Bend. They encountered superb snow conditions and enchanting views, including Tumalo Creek, and the frozen falls. Thankfully, the trail was tracked and good kick and glide conditions prevailed. It was a day well spent with rave reviews from several of the skiers.
