On Sunday, October 13 nine hikers from CONC left Swampy Lakes Sno-Park for a hike to the top of Vista Butte. They walked the trails which included Beginner, Ridge Loop and Vista. While combining the outing with some trail work, cutting out 5 trees from the trails as well as some brush work and clearing. Part of the snowshoe trail and part of Swampy Loop trail were also scouted out. In all they put in 7-8 miles, had great views of the Cascades and Swampy Lakes from the top of Vista Butte, and enjoyed the company.
